خنک کن مخصوص گوشی اندروید در خودرو یک تکنولوژی جدید است .
با افزایش دمای هوا که خطر انفجار باتری‌های گوشی‌های هوشمند را افزایش داده، یک شرکت سازنده خودرو تصمیم گرفته از سیستمی خنک کننده برای تلفن‌های همراه استفاده کند.
این سیستم که Active Phone cooling نام دارد هوای خنک را به داخل گوشی های هوشمند منتقل می کند.
برای استفاده از سیستم مذکور باید گوشی را بر روی قفسه ای در زیر داشبورد قرار داد تا هوای سرد به داخل آن جریان یابد.
کارشناسان نگرانند که داغ شدن شدید گوشی ها در داخل خودروهایی که در هوای به شدت گرم در حال حرکت هستند به سوختن و انفجار ناگهانی آنها و سوختگی های جدی افراد منجر شود. به خصوص اگر گوشی برای بیش از دو ساعت در داخل خودرو باقی بماند.
در این میان ضعف شرکت های سازنده باتری که هنوز نتوانسته اند فناوری باتری های لیتیومی را ارتقا بخشند یک مشکل جدی محسوب می شود.
با پیشرفت گوشی ها میزان مصرف باتری آنها به شدت افزایش یافته، اما فناوری به کار گرفته شده در این باتری ها از دهه 90 تا به حال تکامل چندانی نیافته است.
باید توجه داشت که این سیستم در خودروهایی نصب می شود که در داخل آنها از سیستم شارژ بی سیم استفاده شده است. قرار است با افزایش تولید این نوع خودروها در سال آینده میلادی خنک کردن گوشی ها هم در داخل اتومبیل ها راحت تر شود.
