c-class در خودروسازی بزرگ آلمانی تحت عنوان یک خودروی جمع و جور مجلل توسط شرکت دایملر تولید می شود.

اولین نسل سی کلاس با کد W202 سال 1993 به عنوان جایگزینی برای مدل 190E با کد W201 به بازار عرضه شد. در واقع خودرو های شرکت مرسدس بنز که با آن کلاس بدنه تا سال 1993 تولید می شدند، از آن سال به بعد برچسب کلاس C بر روی آن ها قرار گرفت.

این کلاس مرسدس بنز تا قبل از سال 1997 که A-class معرفی نشده بود کوچک ترین خودروی این کمپانی به شمار می رفت. سی کلاس در بندر برمن و اشتودکارت تولید می شود.

کد اتاق :W202 موجود در مدل های : سدان / استیشن

 

همانطور که گفته شد این اتاق به عنوان نسل بعدی مدل 190E ساخته شد ولی اینبار تحت عنوان کلاس سی.

اتاق W202 در طراحی بسیاری از قسمت ها شبیه به برادر بزرگتر خود 190E بود؛ اما در عین حال سعی شده بود تا در طراحی جدید ملایمت و خطوط شکل دهنده نمایی بهتر از نسل گذشته را جلوه دهد.

در طراحی این اتاق از دیگر کلاس های بنز نیز الهاماتی گرفته شده است. برای مثال از اتاق W124)E-class) در خصوص صندوق عقب با ارتفاع کم و عمق زیاد و چراغ های کشیده شده یا از اتاق W140)S-class) در قسمت جلوپنجره و از اتاق R129)SL-class)در قسمت چراغ های جلو الهاماتی گرفته شده است.
در مسابقات فرمولا1 سال 1996 و 1997 ، C36 W202 به عنوان خودروی ایمنی در پیست حضور داشت.

کد اتاق :W203 موجود در مدل های : سدان / کوپه / استیشن

 

این اتاق آشنا برای ایرانیان اولین بار به عنوان خودروی پلیس در کشور دیده شد.

پروژه طراحی این اتاق در سال 1994 شروع شد. طرح مذکور در سال 1995 به عنوان نسل بعدی کلاس سی مورد قبول واقع شد و ادامه ی پروسه ی طراحی بر روی آن انجام شد.
سال 1998 طرح نهایی ثبت شد و در سال 1999 مرسدس بنز مشغول اجرای آزمایش های خود بر روی آن شد. این مدل سر انجام در سال 2000 به بازار معرفی و عرضه شد. نسل دوم سی کلاس با 4 موتور 4 سیلندر خطی، 6 سیلندرV شکل بنزینی، 4 و5 سیلندر دیزلی قابل سفارش بود. چندی بعد موتور 6 سیلندر V شکل دیزلی نیز بر روی این اتاق ارائه شد بیشتر پیشرانه های نصب شده بر روی W203 با مدل W202 مشترک بودند؛ به جز مدل C320 که از یک موتور با قدرت 215 اسب بخار بهره می برد. گیربکس 6 دنده دستی برای برخی مدل ها قابل سفارش بود، بجز مدل های C320 و C32 AMG.

در این نسل سی کلاس برای اولین بار، نامگذاری مدل ها بر اساس حجم پیشرانه ی آن ها نبود و کد 2 یا 3 رقمی هر مدل مغایر با حجم موتور آن مدل بود. مثلا (C200(1.8L یا (C240(2.6L و (C200 CDI(2.2L بود.

کد اتاق :W204 موجود در مدل های : سدان / کوپه / استیشن

W204 در ژانویه سال 2007 توسط مرسدس بنز معرفی شده و در نمایشگاه Geneva Auto Show همان سال رونمایی شد؛ W204 اینبار با ظاهری عضلانی تر از گذشته، محورهایی با فاصله بیشتر به بازار آمد.

در طراحی ظاهری آن از (S-class(W221 الهام گرفته شده بود و نشانه هایی از (CLS-class(W219 نیز دیده می شد.

فروش این خودرو از ماه مارس همان سال، در اغلب کشورهای اروپایی آغاز شد.

این نسل از C-class در سال 2012 با یک فیس لیفت در خیابان ها حاضر شد. چراغ های LED و دیفیوزر درعقب، چراغ ها و جلوپنجره در جلوی خودرو و همچنین طراحی جدید داشبرد با امکانات رفاهی بیشتر از جمله ی این تغییرات بود .

کد اتاق :W205 موجود در مدل های : سدان(w205) / کوپه(c205) / کروک (a205) / استیشن(s205)

نسل فعلی مرسدس بنز C-class در سال 2014 درنمایشگاه دیترویت AutoShow رونمایی شد .

این اولین سی کلاسی بود که طراحی آن از ریشه متفاوت بوده و پلت فرم آن به کلی تغییر کرده است.

شاسی از نو طراحی شده ی w205 به جهت استفاده از آلومینیوم و استیل مقاوم، به مقدار معنا داری سبک وزن تر از نسل قبلی شده و نتیجه ی آن اختلاف 100 کیلوگرمی آن با w204 است.

تولید این نسل از سی کلاس به جز برمن آلمان ، در مراکز مرسدس بنز در مناطقی همچون لندن، آفریقای جنوبی و … نیز تولید می رسد.
