مزدا، فورد، کیا، سایپا
پراید ابتدا در شرکت مزدا ژاپن با سفارش فورد که شرکت مادر بود، طراحی و ساخته شد.
اولین نسل پراید در سال‌های ۱۹۸۶ تا ۱۹۹۳ در ژاپن با نام مزدا ۱۲۱ و در آمریکای شمالی توسط شرکت فورد با نام فورد فستیوا تولید شد و به فروش رفت. این مدل همچنین با نام پراید از ۱۹۸۷ تا ۲۰۰۰ توسط کیا موتورز در کره جنوبی تولید شد و در سال ۲۰۰۱ خط تولید آن به سایپای ایران فروخته شد.

پس از طراحی 141 در سال 1381 سر انجام این مدل در سال 1382 به بازار عرضه شد.
این مدل یک فیس لیفت از سایپا صبا در کلاس بدنه ی لیفت بک و شامل تغییرات در سپر جلو و عقب (همرنگ بدنه)، چراغ ها، درب کاپوت و صندوق،جلو پنجره، زه همرنگ روی درها در کنار طراحی جدید داشبورد و رو درها در داخل کابین بود.
سایپا صبا
از سال 1385 شرکت سایپا نام محصول پراید را به صبا تغییر داد. آرم کیا در جلو پنجره، صندوق عقب و فرمان از کیا به سایپا تغییر کرد و از آن سال امکان سفارش فرمان هیدرولیک و ترمز ABS برای این محصول فراهم شد.
