در این میان ضعف شرکت های سازنده باتری که هنوز نتوانسته اند فناوری باتری های لیتیومی را ارتقا بخشند یک مشکل جدی محسوب می شود.
با پیشرفت گوشی ها میزان مصرف باتری آنها به شدت افزایش یافته، اما فناوری به کار گرفته شده در این باتری ها از دهه 90 تا به حال تکامل چندانی نیافته است.
