Downforce یا نیروی رو به پایین:
Downforceیا نیروی رو به پایین در اتومبیلهای مسابقه ای توسط فشار ایجاد شده از طریق شکل آیرودینامیکی آن صورت می گیرد و به اتومبیل اجازه می دهد تا از طریق فشار ایجاد شده به لاستیکهای آن مسیر مسابقه و ویراژهای آن را با سرعت بیشتری طی کند و بدین ترتیب چسبندگی زیادی را در اتومبیل ایجاد می کند. میزان نیروی رو به پایین در اتومبیل ها در هر پیست , وابسته به کارکتر آن پیست می باشد. برای مثال در یک پیست سرعتی مانند مونزا ایتالیا , downforce در کم ترین میزان ممکن تنظیم می گردد. چرا که هدف دستیابی به سرعت بیشتر و عبور سریع تر جریان هوا بر روی بدنه اتومبیل می باشد و میزان Downforce در پیست کم سرعتی مانند مونت کارلو در بیشترین میزان ممکن برای عبور و جسبندگی بهتر از ویراژهای آن تنظیم می گردد.
G-Force یا نیروی جی:
G واحد اندازه گیری جاذبه زمین می باشد و این طور تعریف شده که شتاب 1 جی دقیقا 9.80665 متر بر ثانیه می باشد. یک مثال قدیمی نیروی جی منفی, کششی است که در هنگام شیرجه رفتن به درون آب اتفاق می افتد, بدین صورت که هنگامی که فردی در هنگام شیرجه زدن , به سطح آب برخورد می کند در لحظه برخورد , نیرویی از سرعت فرد می کاهد. میزان آن نیروی کاهنده وابسته به میزان سرعت برخورد فرد به سطح آب است. نیروی جی مثبت عکس العمل این است. برای مثال, اتومبیلهای مسابقه ای Top Fuel قادر هستند که از سکون کامل تا 160 کیلومتر در ساعت رادر 0.86 ثانیه طی کنند و شتاب حرکتی (G) مثبت آنها به 5.3 جی می رسد.
Geravel Trap یا تله شنی:
تله های شنی (یا سنگ ریزه) در کنار بسیاری از ویراژهای پیستها وجود دارند. وظیفه این تله ها کاستن از سرعت اتومبیل ها و موتورسیکلت ها و هر وسیله موتوری است که از مسیر اصلی پیست خارج شده اند و امکان برخورد آن ها با موانع دیگری وجود دارد.
